A traffic police of the South Johor Bahru branch, corporal ismayuddin Ramli, 50, died after being hit by a bus near the intersection to the entrance of the causeway from Singapore.
In the incident at 11:55 pm yesterday, a bus driven by a concerned local citizenwoman suddenly lost control and crashed into a victim who was controlling thetraffic, 200 meters from the Customs, Immigration and Quarantine (CIQ).
Johor police chief Datuk Mohd. Mokhtar Mohd. Sharif said the victims died at the scene due to severe injuries to his head and body.
The victim, who came from Felda New Zealand, Pahang, has left a widow and five children aged between four to 22 years.
Earlier, Mohd. Mokhtar also visited the funeral home Ismayuddin victims family in Felda Taib Andak here today.
