Woahh, wait up, an electric bill that cost $1.3 million??what kind of house does she live in?even living in a Luxury Palace would't shows that kind of numbers for an electrical bill per month.
But that's what happen, when a Texas woman, Kristin Harriger, of Abilene which usually pays $100 for an electrical bill per month, receiving a bill from Dallas-based Potentia Energy earlier this month for a balance of $1,381,783.92.
It is reported that the miscalculation are not the electrical company fault, but it is caused by the third party business company who actually manage her billings. On top of that they urged Ms Harriger to pay an additional $66,000 if she paid the balance late.
Why does she charged for that amount you ask?
Well A typical electric rate in the area is 8.2 to 12.1 cents per kilowatt-hour. But Ms Harriger was charged for 100,000 cents, or $1,000, per kilowatt-hour.
She than reported the miscalculation to the electrical company, and everyone lives happily ever after.
