First of all, February 15 is not the end of the world.
On 15 February 2013, an asteroid named the 2012DA14 will past by the Earth with the distance about 22,000 km (14,000 miles) from the earth surface.
The asteroid is about 40 meters (130 feet) across, the 2012DA14 asteroid had been identified a month ago when it passed very close to Earth, but astronomers had reported that the same asteroid will come back next month, but this time it will very close to Earth.
But don't worry, this is not the end of the world yet, according to NASA the asteroid will have no more than 1% chance it will hit the earth.
After it's visit on 15-16 February next month, the 2012DA14 will past by the earth orbit again in the year 2020.
For now we are safe, but on the year 2029, astronomers had reported that an asteroid called the 99942 Apophis will come barreling towards earth.
Early research suggested that the probability of the 99932 asteroid hit the earth is 1 in 250,000 or 2.7%, which would make it the highest probability ever.
Lets just hope not to see any 'Doomsday fanatics' groups trying to make everyone believe it is actually the end of the world.
