Three teenagers were killed in a road accident involving a
motorcycle and a van at the traffic light junction of kuah highway here at
midnight.
Langkawi traffic police investigating officer insp fairus
mohd ghazi said the dead were Yasmin Suhari, 17, Nor Hazwani Mansor, 16, and
Nur Afipah Aaina Ridzuan,19.
The three teenagers girls who were from Kuah were students
of sekolah menangah kebangsaan Mahsuri, Langkawi.
“They were on a motorcycle travelling from the direction of
Sungai Menghulu when it collided with a van coming from the direction of Batu
Asah at around midnight”.
Fairus said the three girls who suffered head injuries died
at the scene of the crash.
Their bodies were sent to Langkawi Hospital for autopsy
before claimed by family members.
