KOTA KINABALU: The sad heart of a husband and wife when their son was two years old being treated in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) after undergoingsurgery to remove tumors in the brain, is now critical and due to alleged negligence of the nurse.
The child's father, Laifi Joseph, 42, said a nurse mistakenly believed to include liquid milk into his bloogstream, Fabienly Laifi in Hospital Women and Children in Likas, 4 days ago.
According to him, his daughter, who is also physically challenged (disabled) recently completed surgery and chemotherapy after diagnosis of tumor in the brain.
"I regret the attitude of the nurses who neglected their duties to my child's life is threatened," he told The Star, at the hospital yesterday.
He said the incident was discovered at about 7 am on February 1 last time and and his wife visited Fiebienly placed in PICU.
"We were surprised that the tube in the left armpit Fiebienly channel normally filled with liquid medicines such as milk, while his arms began to turn blue," he said.
