A gay student won over a case and rewarded $4.5 Million

A Gay Student Body President of the University of Michigan Christopher Armstrong, are rewarded $4.5 million after winning a case over Former Michigan assistant attorney Andrew Shirvell.

The issue dated back in the year 2010, when Shirvell posted about him in an Anti-Gay blog. Accusing him of enticing minors with alcohol and recruiting people to become Homosexual.

Armstrong, feeling distress after the entry was posted in a blog and other social media such Facebook to be added his mental and emotional injuries during his visit to Ann Arbor Campus he then lodge a police report. 

Shirvel once stated that the blog as a movement to get Armstrong to retire, also ignores the apology request made by Armstrong, as quoted on news.yahoo.com.
"We needed him to retract the flat-out fabrications he had come up with about Chris," she said. "Once he refused to take responsibility, we put it in the hands of the jury."

Armstong also stated that this winning over Shirvell is a victory not only for himself, but for others.
